Boxer Family, Eugene Grant Honored

NEW YORK CITY—UJA-Federation of New York earlier this week honored Leonard Boxer, partner at Stroock & Stroock & Lavan, and sons Michael, managing director and head of real estate at Ramius, Jason, principal at Estreich & Co., and Douglas, CEO of Rare Restaurant Group, as well as Eugene Grant, president of Eugene M. Grant Co., at its real estate luncheon at Cipriani 42nd Street. The event gathered more than 500 industry professionals and raised $1.6 million for UJA-Federation.

Larry Silverstein, chairman of Silverstein Properties and luncheon chair, presented the Boxers with the Jack D. Weiler Award in recognition of their professional achievements and commitment to philanthropy. UJA-Federation CEO Eric Goldstein presented Grant with the Lifetime Achievement Award to recognize his longstanding contributions to the real estate community and to improving the lives of others.

Among those showing their support for the Boxers and Grant were Peter Cohen, Cowen Group; Jeffrey Feil, the Feil Organization;  Jeffrey R. Gural, Newmark Grubb Knight Frank; Howard Milstein, Milstein Properties; Burton Resnick, Jack Resnick & Sons; Simon Ziff, Ackman-Ziff Real Estate Capital Advisors; luncheon chair Jonathan Estreich, Estreich & Company and UJA Real Estate division chair Richard Mack, Mack Real Estate Group.
