Marc Possick

NEW YORK CITY—CBRE Group has made a pair of new hires today to further its commitment to two critical areas of business—capital markets and research.

Marc Possick has joined the firm's management team here as managing director and will oversee the capital markets line of business, including investment properties, debt & structured finance and loan sales advisory, as well as assist with key advisory & transaction services initiatives.

His 25 years of experience extends across both the debt and equity sectors, with specific expertise in managing and repositioning institutional assets through economic downturns. Most recently, Marc was a SVP at GE Capital, responsible for debt and equity originations, asset management, leasing, restructuring and disposition of real estate investments nationally.

Prior to his 11 years with GE, Marc was actively involved in development, investment and asset management activities at CBA Mortgage Partners, E&Y Kenneth Leventhal and MetLife.

“Marc's knowledge and experience put us in a great position as we look to grow key segments of our Capital Markets business here in Manhattan,” notes Kyle Schoppmann, executive managing director and market leader for advisory & transaction services.

Nicole LaRusso

Meanwhile, Nicole LaRusso has joined CBRE as director, research & analysis, tri-state region. She comes to CBRE from the Alliance for Downtown New York, where she was SVP, planning and economic development.

Having served with the Alliance for just over a decade, LaRusso was involved with the expansive efforts undertaken by the organization to successfully transform Downtown into a dynamic and diverse area.

Prior to the Alliance, she worked with the Sedway Group in San Francisco, and Ernst & Young and Appleseed in New York, on development and redevelopment projects for both public and private sector entities.

“Research is a competitive advantage—and harnessing our market information more intelligently for our prospective and current clients is critical,” says Spencer Levy, head of research for CBRE's Americas. “We look forward to leveraging Nicole's experience with the Alliance as a way to move our research capabilities forward.”
