WeWork Signs 92,517 SF at 1775 Tysons

TYSONS, VA–WeWork is taking 92,517 square feet at 1775 Tysons Blvd., a 476,000 square foot, 17-story office tower in The Corporate Office Centre at Lerner Enterprise's master-planned development, Tysons II.

The lease will be WeWork's first location in Fairfax County, according to Mark D. Lerner, a principal of Lerner. “WeWork is at the forefront of a movement to change the way we work, as well as the spaces in which we work.” It is joining other marquee tenants at the building including EY and CSC.

Tysons II and Lerner were represented by Brian F. Tucker, Moe H. Hamilton, and John B. Dragelin of Cushman & Wakefield.

Separately, another new landmark office will be coming online in the medium term. This week, the Bethesda, MD-based Meridian Group held a groundbreaking for the first phase of The Boro, a 4.2-million square foot mixed use development. The Boro includes Greensboro Station, a three-tower, 630,000-square foot office complex that is located next to the Greensboro Metro Station, which the Meridian Group acquired from Science Applications International Corp. in 2013.

Now the Meridian is adding to that investment with phase one of a large scale vision for the area. There will be The Boro Tower, a  20-story, 440,000-square foot office. The first phase will also include 700 residential units and 223,000 square feet of retail. At full build-out, there will be more than 1,500 residential units, 1.8 million square feet of office, 316,000 square feet of retail, and 250,000 square feet of hotel space.
