WoodSpring Suites

PHOENIX—Three new WoodSpring Suites signature hotels are in the works in the Greater Phoenix area. WoodSpring Hotels, an extended-stay hotel brand, has entered into an agreement with AMENA Hotels LLC to develop the hotels.

“WoodSpring is a great fit for AMENA. Our focus has been in lending throughout the United States within the hospitality industry,” said Sanat Patel, president at AMENA Hotels. “WoodSpring Hotels has a specific operating model that attracted us. With a stronger expected return on investment than more traditional nightly-stay hotels, coupled with our ability to fill in the Phoenix area and explore new areas in Southern California, we felt WoodSpring Hotels would be the right partner.”

As Patel indicates, AMENA Hotels is no stranger to the hospitality industry. Principals of AMENA Hotels have expertise in hospitality development and permanent mortgage financing, and now join the ranks of other owners in developing the WoodSpring Suites hotels in the Phoenix market.

“Our partnership with AMENA marks the continuation of our unprecedented growth and westward expansion,” Ron Burgett, executive vice president of franchise development and operations at WoodSpring Hotels, tells GlobeSt.com. “AMENA's financial savvy coupled with our strong franchise and fresh approach to target business and leisure travelers makes for the perfect team and high return on investment.”

AMENA Hotels anticipates the WoodSpring Suites Signature prototype will work well in the Phoenix market, and its principals are currently sourcing sites in Southern California for additional properties to add to the portfolio.

“When our executive team first met the AMENA Hotels partners at our annual conference, we knew they would be strong partners with the financial expertise and vision to expand our brand in the West,” says Burgett. “With its ability to locate and acquire strong locations in Phoenix and Southern California, the AMENA Hotels team is the perfect group to help us grow our brand throughout the Western United States.”
