WASHINGTON, DC–Skanska is building its first apartment project in Washington DC in NoMA. It is a 12-story, 326-unit luxury building and approximately 7,000 square feet of ground-floor restaurant and retail space. Called RESA at Tyber Place, it will be located at 22 M Street NE between North Capitol and First Streets, NE.

RESA is part of Skanska's Tyber Place, a three-building, mixed-use development that will have 585,000 square feet of office space, 326 apartments, 30,000 square feet of restaurants and retail and an open-air courtyard.

As is its pattern, Skanska is self-financing the development and construction costs. The company will also serve as the construction manager of RESA. Construction is now underway.  and the building is expected to deliver in the fourth quarter of 2018.

This is Skanska's fifth development in Washington DC area. Its other projects are office developments:  2112 Pennsylvania Avenue, an 11-story, 250,000-square-foot office building on The George Washington University campus, and 99 M Street, SE, a 220,000 square foot office building in the Capitol Riverfront neighborhood.
