WASHINGTON, DC–Corporate Office Properties Trust has hired JBG Cos. principal Paul Adkins as its new executive vice president and chief operating officer.
Adkins spent five years at JBG. Before that, he was at CarrAmerica Realty for 21 years. He worked in leasing from 1982 to 1994 and then was promoted to serve as that company's president of Real Estate Services from 2001'2003.
This is the second move of a JBG executive to a new company publicly announced since JBG announced it was merging with Vornado Realty's Washington DC spinoff. Earlier this week Federal Capital Partners announced that JBG Cos.' Matt Valentini was joining the fund in the newly-created position of vice president of development. Valentini will lead FCP's development management team and oversee its ground-up development and redevelopment activities throughout the East Coast.
