NEW YORK CITY—Savills Studley has hired Gerald Prager as SVP in its headquarters office here. He joins the tenant representation firm with more than 30 years of experience in the industry, on the operations and finance side.
Prager comes to Savills following a 13-year tenure at CBRE, where he held a variety of leadership positions. His titles there included senior managing director of Manhattan brokerage and, most recently, senior managing director of Manhattan retail. Prager also once served as CFO of the New York tri-state region for Insignia/ESG—the predecessor firm to CBRE.
In his new role, Prager will work with the Savills Studley executive team to strengthen its corporate management and operations group as well as focus on the company's go-to-market strategy. In addition, he will assist with strategic planning and the recruitment of top talent as the company continues its aggressive growth across North America.
“Gerry has a proven track record employing new growth strategies, recruiting top talent and implementing and enhancing standardized operations on a large scale,” says Michael Colacino, president of Savills Studley. “As Savills Studley continues its strategic growth in major markets across North America, we are excited to have his expertise at our disposal.”
“Savills Studley's culture as an entrepreneurial, broker-managed firm backed by a global partner allows the company to be nimble when making acquisitions, opening new offices and hiring top-level brokers, something very few large firms can do,” adds Prager. “I am excited to be able to use my experience to help effect positive change within the organization as it sets its eyes on becoming the number one tenant representation firm in the country.”
