SANTA CLARA, CA—If there is any doubt things are hopping in Santa Clara/San Jose, the recent stream of deals should quell that notion. The largest project is the 284,000-square-foot office portion of the shop/live/work/play campus in San Jose, 700 Santana Row, under construction to accommodate late 2018 tenant occupancies.
In recent Santana Row news, BroadSoft Inc. leased approximately 33,000 square feet of office space at 3055 Olin Ave., overlooking the Park Valencia plaza. BroadSoft is a provider of unified communication, team collaboration and contact center software. The firm aims to take occupancy in mid-2017.
On the heels of that announcement, Splunk completed its move in last month to fully occupy the 232,000-square-foot 500 Santana Row office building.
In Santa Clara news, Nob Hill Foods will bring its signature health and wellness offerings, serving as the anchor retail tenant at Monticello Apartment Homes, a master-planned luxury apartment community. The new Nob Hill will be the first full-service grocery store in the neighborhood. Nob Hill is owned and operated by parent company Raley's Family of Fine Stores. It is slated to open in October 2017 and will be located at 3555 Monroe St.
“This store represents ongoing expansion of the Nob Hill brand and our commitment to serving new regions of the Santa Clara Valley,” says Keith Knopf, Raley's chief operating officer.
The 24,000-square-foot store will feature an extensive assortment of organics and specialty departments, including expanded self-service prepared foods; indoor and outdoor café seating featuring gourmet coffee, wine and beer; bakery and fresh deli with made-to-order sandwiches and paninis; full-service meat and seafood, featuring Harris Ranch products; natural supplements and organic produce.
“We're excited that Nob Hill Foods will anchor the retail portion of Monticello,” said Dave Moore, president of Irvine Company Retail Properties, tells GlobeSt.com. “Nob Hill's reputation for providing fresh, organic goods with friendly service will be appreciated by residents of the Monticello apartment community and Santa Clara.”
The grocer joins other incoming tenants such as California Pizza Kitchen, Konjoe Burger Bar, Vitality Bowls Superfood Cafe, Pressed Juicery and The Yellow Chilli.
