WASHINGTON, DCJohn Fleury has been appointed president of Madison Marquette. He will be working closely withAmer Hammour, founder and chairman of Madison Marquette and will be based at Madison Marquette's Washington DC headquarters. Prior to joining Madison Marquette, Fleury was the COO and CFO at Cassidy Turley.

WASHINGTON, DC–The Equipment Leasing and Finance Association's Monthly Leasing and Finance Index (MLFI-25), showed overall new business volume for February was $5.9 billion, down 3% year-over-year from new business volume in February 2016. Volume was down 5% month-to-month from $6.2 billion in January. Year to date, cumulative new business volume was up 0.5% compared to 2016.

WASHINGTON, DC–The Architecture Billings Index returned to growth mode last month, after a weak showing in January. The February ABI score was 50.7, up from a score of 49.5 in the previous month. The new projects inquiry index was 61.5, up from a reading of 60.0 the previous month, while the new design contracts index climbed from 52.1 to 54.7. “The sluggish start to the year in architecture firm billings should give way to stronger design activity as the year progresses,” said AIA Chief Economist, Kermit Baker, in a prepared statement. “New project inquiries have been very strong through the first two months of the year, and in February new design contracts at architecture firms posted their largest  monthly gain in over two years.”

WASHINGTON, DCKettler has begun pre-leasing for Reed Row, a 132-unit mid-rise luxury apartment in Adams Morgan formerly known as 2101 Champlain St. Reed Row will offer a mix of studios and one-and-two-bedroom units that are designed in a distinctive pod-like style that was inspired by efficient loft spaces in New York, San Francisco and Tel Aviv. The floor plans were developed by KETTLER and R2L Architects. The project team also included SK&A Engineers as the structural engineer, Parker Rodriguez, landscape architect; LF Jennings, general contractor, and Bohler Engineering, civil engineer.
