DALLAS—Brant Brown, chief financial officer and chief operating officer of Westmount Realty Capital LLC, has been appointed to the advisory board of the SMU-Cox Folsom Institute for Real Estate. Members of the advisory board are considered leaders in the real estate industry and regularly collaborate with the institute's staff and SMU-Cox School of Business faculty to guide the direction and efforts of the program.
HOUSTON—TRC Companies Inc. announced that oil and gas pipeline industry veterans DeWitt Burdeaux and Lane Miller have joined TRC's integrity services practice as training and market directors.

AUSTIN, TX—Developer Burlington Ventures is taking leasing reservations for the 27 exclusive rental residences at The Richardson at Tarrytown, 3215 Exposition Blvd., the only rental residential community of its kind in Central Austin. Move-in is anticipated in summer 2017.
ARLINGTON, TX—Ojos Locos Sports Cantina, a Latino-themed sports bar and Mexican restaurant, has leased a 6,500-square-foot freestanding restaurant building located at 1620 E. Copeland Rd., in the heart of Arlington's sports and entertainment district, for a new Dallas-Fort Worth location. Gretchen Miller and Stephen Wise with Weitzman handled negotiations as leasing agents representing the property. Pete Podesta and Alden Harris with SHOP Companies represented the restaurant.
DALLAS—Linda Madway with Timber Creek Owner LP purchased the strip of commercial properties within the intersection of Northwest Highway and Skillman Street, and along Retail Road. The property was purchased from BRE RC Timber Creek TX LP for $55 million. The financing institution on this multi-million dollar deal was Voya Investment Management LLC, according to Enriched Data.
HOUSTON—UYL Color recently signed a lease for its new corporate headquarters with the help of commercial real estate representatives from Belvoir Real Estate Group. Its newest 20,000 square-foot headquarters at 1180 West Loop North marks its fifth location in the area, with plans to open an additional four to six during the next year. Matthew Goldsby and Sam Chang of Belvoir Real Estate Group LLC represented UYL Color Inc., while Kelly Landwermeyer of Hold Lunsford represented the landlord, Centerpoint Properties Trust.

IRVING, TX—SEI Incentives LTD renewed a lease for 5,960 square feet at 122 West. The tenant was represented by Colliers International's Daniel Rudd and Billy Vahrenkamp. The landlord was represented by Sean Dalton and Kathy Permenter at Younger Partners.
SAN ANTONIO —GBT Realty Corporation is bringing more retail with the recent purchase of a 1.05-acre site. It will be home to South Park Commons, a 12,600-square-foot center that will be adjacent to the existing Target along SW Military Drive. The center is 70% leased with tenants committed, including AT&T, Aspen Dental, GNC and Firehouse Subs. Construction is underway and plans are for the center to open later this year.
