LOS ANGELES—Matthews Real Estate Investment Services has named Michael Pakravan to roll out the firm's retail leasing platform on the national level, hiring him as SVP and national director of retail leasing. Pakravan will draw on his leasing expertise and extensive network to continue to both grow the firm's market share and drive value for property owners and tenants alike.
Pakravan brings over 13 years of leasing expertise from Centers Business Management and Kennedy Wilson. During his tenure, he represented landlords in over 100 shopping centers in Southern California and arranged deals with a multitude of national tenants including Chase, Vallarta Supermarkets, Blink Fitness, Big 5 Sporting Goods, Dollar Tree, Starbucks and Petco.
“We are confident that Michael will play a key role in providing a new outlook on retail leasing while continuing to assist our clients in wealth creation,” says Kyle Matthews, chairman and CEO for Matthews. “We are relentless in expanding the firm's reach in the marketplace and we believe Michael will be a tremendous asset in further developing our footprint in the industry.”
The appointment of Pakravan occurs about two months after Matthews made another key retail hire, tapping Scott Henard as SVP and regional director of shopping center business. Renard is based in the firm's new Dallas office, where he's in charge of spearheading all multi-tenant retail transactions in the Central and Eastern regions.
