TYSONS, VA–Sources have told us that the deal we reported yesterday, Rockpoint Group's acquisition of Tysons International Plaza, has now closed. The two-building, 471,367-square foot property traded for approximately $132 million, or $280 per square foot. The seller is Tishman Speyer.
Rockpoint and Tishman Speyer have declined to comment for this story.
This is the second property in Tysons that Rockpoint Group has acquired in recent weeks. It also picked up Tysons Dulles Plaza for $130.3 million earlier this month.
The seller of that property was KBS Real Estate Investment Trust. The last time Tysons Dulles Plaza traded was in 2008 when Vornado Realty Trust sold it for $152.8 million.
We have also learned, as we reported earlier, that Rockpoint Group is also buying the Sheraton Suites Alexandria for $54.7 million, or $221,457 per unit, according to a source.The 247-key hotel last traded in 2007 for $78.6 million.
