Laraway, EVP and partner of Chesapeake Real Estate Group, LLC, has been elected president of the Maryland/District of Columbia/Northern Virginia Chapter of the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR). The local chapter of the national organization encompasses the District of Columbia, the state of Maryland and the counties of Arlington, Fairfax, Loudoun and Prince William, as well as the cities of Alexandria, Falls Church and Manassas within the Commonwealth of Virginia.

CHEVY CHASE, MDJBG SMITH Properties has won the NAIOP DC/MD 2017 Firm of the Year Award. This Award commends excellence and professional leadership within the industry, as well as service to the regional economy and community organizations.

WASHINGTON, DCDivcoWest has completed the purchase of 1133 15th St., NW, an approximately 213,000 square foot office building located on the border of the CBD and East End submarkets. The 12-story building, which sits across from Midtown Center, the future headquarters of Fannie Mae, is currently approximately 90% leased to a diversified group of tenants.

WASHINGTON, DCAmerican Real Estate Partners has acquired 810 First St. NE, a 192,000-square-foot office building located in NoMa. The seller was represented by James Cassidy and Jud Ryan, of the Washington, DC office of Newmark Knight Frank.

WASHINGTON, DCNew York Life Real Estate Investors is providing acquisition financing for 1111 19th St., NW, a building that Unizo has acquired. The loan has a seven-year term.

CHEVY CHASE, MDJBG SMITH has secured a 19,300-square-foot lease with Spaces, which provides offices, co-working spaces and meeting rooms, at Chase Tower, located at 4445 Willard Ave. Transwestern's Phil McCarthy, Keith Foery and Mark Boyce JBG SMITH in the transaction.

WASHINGTON, DCTapestry Collection by Hilton has signed on The Graham Georgetown, which is slated to join the collection in early 2018. The Tapestry Collection by Hilton is a growing portfolio of original upscale hotels. The Graham originally opened in 1962 as the Monticello.
