NEW YORK CITY–On Wednesday night, the city's landmark buildings lit up in blue to recognize the real estate division of the Diabetes Research Institute Foundation and the Empire Ball. The real estate and construction industry came to the 34th annual fundraiser at the Grand Hyatt to raise money to find a cure for diabetes. Paul H. Teti of Normandy Real Estate Partners, Robert Mullen of Structure Tone and Jeffrey A. Duarte of Alliance Building were honored for their philanthropic service.
To date, the annual Empire Ball has raised more than $37 million for diabetes research.
