Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe have entered into an agreement to purchase Green Street Advisors, a commercial real estate research, data and analytics company, from Golden Gate Capital. Management will reinvest a portion of the proceeds from the sale to retain a meaningful interest in the company.
WCAS has a long history of investing in technology companies. It plans to support the expansion of Green Street Advisors by investing in product innovation and strategically pursuing M&A.
The financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
