Historically, liquidity events have provided newly wealthy individuals an opportunity to expand their real estate holdings and San Diego, as well as other areas in Southern California, remains a top choice for those seeking both lifestyle appeal and long-term value.

That market is now seeing additional activity from those who benefited financially from the June 12 SpaceX IPO, according to area real estate agents.

"As more capital is created within the technology sector, we expect demand for residential opportunities in San Diego to remain strong," Jenna Yost Hoyas of the Yost Quesada Team told GlobeSt.com.

San Diego continues to attract affluent Bay Area buyers, and major wealth-creation events [like the SpaceX IPO] are likely to accelerate that trend," Kristina Quesada of the Yost Quesada Team told GlobeSt.com.

"We're seeing increasing interest from San Francisco-based investors and tech executives purchasing second and third homes in the market, drawn by San Diego's coastal lifestyle, luxury inventory, and relative value compared to the Bay Area."

Cory Weiss, Broker at Douglas Elliman, said he's already seeing inquiries from newly wealthy investors and technology professionals exploring luxury real estate opportunities.

"As significant wealth is created, many individuals look to diversify into tangible assets with long-term value," Weiss told GlobeSt.com.

"In Los Angeles, there's increased interest in premier residential properties that offer a combination of lifestyle appeal and wealth preservation. For high-net-worth buyers, real estate has long been a preferred destination for capital following transformative wealth-creation events."

Plus, Bay Area-based buyers are exploring custom home builds, according to Moses Hershko, founder of Moses Hershko Development.

"Rather than simply purchasing an existing home, many are interested in creating highly personalized residences that reflect their lifestyle, privacy needs, and vision for the future," Hershko told GlobeSt.com.

"Longevity has become an essential feature, optimizing health through advanced technology that seamlessly delivers a calibrated atmosphere, with biological air monitors, red light therapy, Finnish saunas, circadian rhythm systems, and more."
