LEESBURG, FL-Seeking to avoid a court hassle on a potential eminent domain issue, this Lake County municipality, 45 miles northwest of Downtown Orlando, is paying $246,000 or $6 per sf for a 42-year-old, 41,000-sf structure on a one-acre site that was appraised for $170,000.

LEESBURG, FL-The city manager of this Lake County city of 15,986 permanent residents is contracting to buy an estimated one-acre Downtown parcel for more than the property's $170,000 appraised value, but won't disclose the purchase price. Leesburg is 45 miles northwest of Downtown Orlando.
ORLANDO-A new mid-year capital markets overview by the Orlando office of CB Richard Ellis Inc. shows $77 million worth of deals done this year at an average price of $85 per sf compared to $215 million worth of transactions averaging $119 per sf in all of 2000.
PANAMA CITY, FL-Panama City Associates, owner of the 25-year-old, 600,000-sf Panama City Mall, is expected to use the money to renovate and expand the landmark regional retail center. Panama City in the Florida Panhandle is 250 miles northwest of Downtown Orlando.
ORLANDO-The 300,000-sf, 10-year-old Art & Frame Direct structure in south Orlando contained an estimated $5 million worth of items being checked today for damage loss by owners George and Dorothy Eouse. The 100 employees were not injured.
