About The Author

Jane M. Alcantara is a senior industrial hygiene Project Manager and Assessor working out of Partner Engineering and Science Inc’s Plano, TX office. She has over 17 years of experience focusing on environmental site assessments, asbestos and indoor air quality surveys, and compliance audits through site visits, research and regulatory documentation review. A dedicated environmental scientist, Jane holds licensed certification for mold, asbestos, and lead-based paint assessment through the Texas Department of State Health Services. She has provided due diligence and consulting services to a broad range of clients and property types, including corporate and private offices, banks, retail, public facilities, oil and gas facilities, and hospitals, among others. She has direct experience in assessment of hazardous materials and disaster recovery in Houston, Texas after both Hurricane Ike in 2008 and Tropical Storm Allison in 2001, as well as other recovery efforts in Florida and Alabama. Ms. Alcantara received a B.S. in bio-environmental science at Texas A&M University and an M.S. in environmental management at the University of Houston at Clear Lake.
