BOSTON-The last piece of Emerson College's plan to consolidate its campus in the Midtown Cultural District got the green light with the Boston Redevelopment Authority's approval of the college's plan to build a 14-story dorm on Boylston Street.
BOXBOROUGH, MA-Seranoa Networks takes 24,000 sf at 60 Codman Hill Rd. The high-tech company is relocating from Concord, MA in a move that--unusual in the current economy--will quadruple the size of its headquarters.
BOSTON- Locally-based Westbrook Hotel Partners IV, LLC acquires 13 hotel properties from Dallas-based Wyndham International Inc. for $448 million. The companies closed on 11 of the properties and expect to close on the last two by the end of the month.
FOXBOROUGH-The rezoning of the former Foxborough State Hospital site to mixed-use status is approved. The state sold 55 acres of the property to the town for public use and the plan for the remaining 95 acres is a 203-unit residential complex as well as office and retail space.
PEABODY, MA-Berwind Property Group sells Centennial Technology Center, a 330,000-sf office park located at 10 Centennial Dr. to an affiliate of Des Moines-based Principal Life Insurance Co. for $38 million or $115 per sf. The Philadelphia-based firm purchased the property two years ago for $19.2 million.
BOSTON-Martin Oliner's proposal to build a 215-unit residential project in the Charlestown Navy Yard gets approved by the Boston Redevelopment Authority. The developer's new proposal involves a 115-ft tower and a 95-ft tower--much smaller than original plans.
MARLBOROUGH, MA-Berwind Property Group closes on its purchase of the 540,000-sf 3Com campus. The Philadelphia-based privately held real estate investment firm paid $57.8 million for the property, which will be partly leased back by 3Com.
LOWELL, MA-$9.5 million in permanent mortgage financing is nailed down for Delmont Gardens, a 192-unit luxury apartment community comprised of eight buildings. The complex is located on Delmont Avenue, Felker and Bernier streets near Route 495.
BILLERICA, MA-In a two-part transaction that enabled the firm to upgrade its holdings in a tax-deferred exchange, Retailers Realty Trust/Remic Properties sold a 16,120-sf shopping center at 305 Boston Rd. for $1.25 million and purchased a 26,124-sf center in Salem, NH for $2.85 million.
WALTHAM, MA-Principal Financial Group leases 9,181 sf at Waltham Weston Corporate Center, a 304,050-sf six story office building built by Boston Properties last January. Principal Financial is relocating from its current offices at Lexington Office Park.
