Mayer Brown Expands to 235,000 SF at 1221 Avenue of the Americas

NEW YORK CITY—Mayer Brown has signed a long-term lease expanding its space at 1221 Avenue of the Americas by 49,000 square feet, the entire 34th floor. With this increase scheduled for Q1 2019, the global law firm brings its New York office to a total of 235,000 square feet, spanning five floors at the 50-story Rockefeller Center tower.

Mayer Brown originally moved into the building in 2015. Richard Spehr, partner-in-charge of the New York office says the Manhattan office has experienced significant growth and “serves as a hub for firm lawyers and clients across the globe.” He adds, “The expansion of our current lease will enable us to further solidify the firm’s strategic commitment to the New York market for decades to come.”
