CHICAGO—Colliers International Group Inc. has just appointed veteran executives Steve Disse and Jeff Devine to lead investment sales services for the central region. The Chicago-based Disse and Devine focus on investment sales of institutional-quality industrial and office properties. The two have closed more than $1.4 billion in sales in the past 24 months, making them one of the top industrial sales groups in Chicago. The appointments come on the heels of several significant Midwest acquisitions made by Colliers.

“Chicago continues to stand as a leading market for office and industrial investment – especially today as industrial demand is reaching new highs with the sector ranking as desirable as class A office,” Steve Everbach, president of Colliers’ central region, tells GlobeSt.com. “Considering the growing demand for capital markets and investment expertise in this region, Steve and Jeff were the ideal leaders to continue Colliers’ mission in strategically developing our national capital markets platform and delivering an exceptional level of service to investors targeting this robust market.” As reported in GlobeSt.com, Everbach was brought on late last year to help drive more growth in the central region.

Acquisitions have formed a key part of Colliers’ regional growth strategy. The firm acquired Summit Realty Group in Indianapolis late last year, shortly after acquiring Gateway Commercial in St. Louis, a firm that had been associated with Cushman & Wakefield.

“Following our acquisitions last year in Dallas, St. Louis and Indianapolis, which all include strong investment sales teams,” Everbach adds, “Steve and Jeff’s direction and leadership will help us further leverage the expertise within the region.”

Disse began at Colliers in 1991 and has worked with Devine since he joined the firm in 1995. Both Devine and Disse were named Top 10% Producers for Colliers Americas region from 2011-2015, and have been members of Colliers’ Chicago Top Producers Club since 2000. They have won, or been a finalist, as Investment Broker of the Year by the Chicago Commercial Real Estate Awards benefiting the Greater Chicago Food Depository for the past 11 years, among many other sales achievements.

“I’m excited for this opportunity to make an even greater impact in the market we know so well—it is our aim to grow Colliers’ investment sales business both in the Chicago market and across the region,” says Devine.

“It’s a testament to Colliers’ entrepreneurial culture that Jeff and I have been able to so successfully build the Chicago business—and now we’re getting the chance to expand on that success with a team that’s the best in the business,” says Disse.
