PHOENIX–Hohokam Park LLC has broken ground on a 46,700-sf industrial/flex building in a section of the city that is becoming a tech oasis. The Phoenix-based development company, headed by Steven Maderazzo, is erecting the building on a speculative basis and is offering it for sale or lease. Construction of the building, called Hohokam Tech, is schedule to be completed by year-end. Hohokam Tech is being built near University Drive and the Hohokam Expressway, just two miles south of Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. A growing number of high-tech companies have located in business parks around the airport, attracted to the area by a critical mass of high tech companies, affordable lease rates, and proximity to the airport and nearby freeways.
