Benson Hotel Upgrades Internet Access

PORTLAND- Benson manager Ron Gladney says the upgrades will allow two guests in one room to access the Internet at the same time; the new services are expected to be available by late summer or early fall.

The Benson Hotel has installed a LodgeNet wireless Internet system in its lobby, public spaces and meeting rooms, the first downtown hotel to do so, it says.

The hotel also has upgraded its existing LodgeNet technology in its guest rooms to support wireless keyboard access along with a hard-wire connection. The new services are expected to be available by late summer or early fall.

Benson manager Ron Gladney says the upgrades will allow two guests in one room to access the Internet at the same time. As well, Guests can now readily access the Internet from their laptop computers at any number of sites within the hotel Gladney said.
