Biotech Firm Picks Eastgate Mall

SAN DIEGO-The company, which makes products from seaweed, leases 18,472 sf of R&D space for nearly $2.4 million.

SAN DIEGO-A biotech company has signed a five-year, $2.35 million leasefor 18,472 sf of R&D space in the hot Eastgate Mall area.

The company, International Specialty Products Alginates, took space at 6605 Nancy Ridge Dr. Burnham Real Estate Services represented the owner, ProfessorsCapital. The San Diego office of CB Richard Ellis represented InternationalSpecialty Products.

International Specialty bought the algins division, which makes food anddrug chemicals from seaweed, from Monsanto Co. late last year.
