ATLANTA-Macauley Properties has broken ground on Ridenour, a $280-million, 88-acre, mixed-used project near Kennesaw Mountain in Cobb County, northwest of Downtown. The venture comprises 500,000 sf of office space, 112,000 sf of retail, 350 apartments, 124 condos, and 64 single-family residences.

The project has a five-year build-out schedule but partners Steve Macauley and Tad Leithead hope they won’t have to wait that long to find financing for the $32-million office portion. Colonial Bank is funding the $45-million residential part. The enterprise will have 24 acres of green space.
