PLEASANTON, CA-The 19-acre Pleasanton Power Park is getting its own power supply–a coveted item in the Bay Area, where rising technology has put increasing strain on energy supplies.

The office park, which broke ground on its first phase recently, is being built by the Sacramento-based Panattoni Development. Panattoni teamed with Sacramento-based Real Energy to design the on-site power source.

The first phase of the park consists of three 30,000-sf industrial buildings. The first phase is scheduled for completion in mid-2001. Five more buildings totaling 160,000 sf are planned. Colliers International says the buildings are being leased at $120 per sf.
