ARLINGTON, VA-Bank of America has awarded Consolidated Engineering Services Inc. a contract to manage and operate 26 buildings in Florida and Virginia, including 19 mission-critical facilities.

Consolidated, an affiliate of Charles E. Smith Residential Realty Inc. of Arlington, has managed Bank of America offices, processing centers and branch banks in Virginia, Maryland, Delaware and the District of Columbia since 1993.

Such facilities typically involve round-the-clock monitoring, operating, and servicing of complex systems such as three-phase power distribution systems, sophisticated uninterruptible power supplies, state-of-the-art fire and security alarms, and stringent temperature and humidity controls.
