NORTHBOROUGH, MA-Wrapping up an aggressive leasing campaign, Spaulding & Slye Colliers has brokered 345,000 sf of leases in the past few months at the I-290 Industrial Park. The six-building, 500,000-sf complex is owned by the State Teachers Retirement System of Ohio, a pension fund active in Greater Boston’s commercial real estate market.
Leading the activity at I-290 was USCO Logistics, which leased 87,000 sf at 450 Whitney St. to support its work in the field of logistic solutions. Fons, a provider of fiber optic components, leased 81,000 sf of manufacturing and office space at 30 Forbes Road. The single-story facility will serve as Fons’ U.S. manufacturing operations. The company was represented by Chris Deveaux of Parsons Commercial Group.
Other significant leases included RMP of New England (74,000 sf at 444 Whitney St.); Future Electronics (58,000 sf at 20 Forbes Road); and Pennzoil/Quaker State (22,000 sf at 10 Forbes Road). Spaulding & Slye Senior Vice President William Bailey and Vice President Philip DeSimone represented STRS in all the transactions.
