HOUSTON-Four eateries and one NC-based manufacturer have closed land sales and building leases in bids to tap into Houston’s bustling economy.

Boyd Page/ChainLinks brokers have negotiated the following deals:

- Pizza Hut of America Inc., .97 acres in the New Forest Crossing Shopping Center, located on the northwest corner of Wallisville Road and Beltway 8. The center is owned by Ley-Lane Partnership No. 1, LP, which has been represented by Boyd Page.

– Wendy’s International Inc., a 2.07-acre purchase, also at New Forest Crossing Shopping Center, from Black Rock Development LP. Sears Realty Co. has acted on the buyer’s behalf while Boyd Page has represented the seller.

- Starbucks Corp., 1,885 sf in a freestanding building at 2801 S. Shepherd Dr. at the intersection with Harold Street. The popular coffee bar chain, represented by Boyd Page, will open its 45th site in five years in Houston.

– Blimpie Subs & Salads Leasing Co., 1,304 sf in Post Midtown Square in Houston from Post Uptown, LLC, which has been represented by Boyd Page. Yancey-Hausman & Associates has acted on behalf of the tenant.

In an industrial site transaction, Midway Cos. has leased a 13,000-sf building with 7.3 acres to Marley Cooling Tower, a Charlotte, NC-based business. The property is situated at 10810 Old Galveston Rd. in Houston.

Midway has purchased the property from Aqua Process and has retrofitted it for use as office, warehouse and manufacturing space. Smith Raines Co. has represented Aqua Process while Great Southwest Realty and Midway Cos. have handled the deal with Marley Cooling Tower.
