ATLANTA-Technical Industries, a design and integration company for communication systems, made a $5.1 million deal with defense contractor GEC-Marconi Avionics for its new headquarters. The price for the two-story, 86,000-sf building on 15 acres in suburban Norcross, GA equates to $59.30 per sf.

Technical Industries will convert the former R&D laboratories into flexible open office space. The company bought all of the 15 acre-tract, but intends to use only part of it for possible future expansion. It has put 5.25 acres on the market for $750,000.

Technical Industries is a subsidiary of MCSi (Miami Computer Supply Corp.) which sells computer and office automation supplies and visual technology equipment.
