New Interior Concept Store Opens In Michigan

SHELBY TWNSHIP, MI-Bustling Hall Road in draws new Sears-run Great Indoors. It's the first Michigan site fo the new retail outlet.

SHELBY TWNSHIP, MI-The Great Indoors, a new furniture store owned and operated by Sears,Roebuck and Co., has opened for the first time in Michigan. The fourth store in the chain opened on Hall Road here, about a month later than expected.

Great Indoors sells high-class furniture and home improvement retail and services, putting it head-to-head with the Home Depot Expo storegoing up nearby. The 136,000-sf development is a coup for the Macomb County area, because the customer base for the Great Indoors is usually affluent. West Bloomfield and Novi were in competition to get the first store.

The three other stores are in Colorado, Texas and Arizona. Other stores are being considered for the future, including one for Novi.
