NEW YORK CITY-Reid Birch and Vladi Andrei of Cushman & Wakefield’s Long Island branch are representing the seller of 47-51 33rd St. in Long Island City, Queens. The building is about five minutes by train from Manhattan with a two-minute walk to the subway. Manhattan’s skyline is visible from within the building.

The property is an 82,000-sf loft building that is visible from the Long Island Expressway. It also once served as manufacturing space. Berch says he sees the space as accommodating “printers, telecom companies, dot-coms or other service businesses.” It has parking for 20 cars.

With redevelopment emerging as the hot trend, C&W’s hope is that this building will be seen as a hot commodity for companies willing to invest in potential. Since many companies are finding that, in order to meet their technology needs in office space or converted manufacturing space throughout the city, they have to install their own infrastructures, the potential for this building is comparable.
