Fifth Virginia Candlewood Suites Opens

FAIRFAX, VA-Candlewood Suites now has its fifth hotel in Virginia. The Washington-Fairfax Candlewood Suites, 19 miles from Washington, DC, is located at 11400 Random Hills Road, off Route 66, Exit 57A (Route 50 East) and Waples Mill Road. With 122 suites–24 one-bedrooms and 98 studios–the project is valued at about $9 million.

Each suite includes a complete kitchen, two phone lines and data port. Guests can buy food items, snacks and sundries 24-hours-a-day from the Candlewood Cupboard, an on-site, honor-based pantry.

Besides the Fairfax site, the Generation Companies of Research Triangle Park, NC, owns hotels in Glen Allen, VA; Herndon, VA; and Durham, NC. The company has another Candlewood Suites under construction in Raleigh-Crabtree, NC. The Generation Companies has management and development responsibility for more than $95 million in assets and employs more than 175 associates in North Carolina, Kentucky and Virginia.
