HAWTHORNE, NY-The New York Association of Consulting Engineers issued a Gold Award to O’Dea & Associates PC for design of the mechanical and electrical engineering systems for the Rosewood Mausoleum in Ferncliff Cemetery in Greenburgh.

The firm designed the heating, ventilation, air conditioning, electrical, plumbing, fire protection and special crypt-ventilation system for the new 100,000-sf structure, which will house 7,000 crypts. The building is one of the first fully air-conditioned mausoleums using a desiccant dehumidification system.

The award was presented at the recent New York State Association of Consulting Engineers Awards dinner held in New York City, according to O’Dea & Associates officials.
