West Coast Paper Prepares for Move, Expansion Into Columbia Corridor

PORTLAND-West Coast Paper will move into a new distribution building and showroom in January. The building is located at Northeast 158th Avenue and Mason Street in the Columbia Corridor. The building will include 167,000 sf of warehouse and distribution space and 24,000 sf for office functions. The space will feature natural lighting, views of Mount Hood, and showrooms for paper, packaging design and packaging equipment.

West Coast employs 85 people in Oregon and expects to employ more than 100 in two years to meet what the company is describing as rapidly growing demand for its products in Oregon. West Coast Paper Company is the largest privately-held paper distributor in the Pacific Northwest. The 30-year-old, Seattle-based company has four divisions in Oregon, four in Alaska, two in Washington one each in California and Idaho. Its products include printing paper, industrial paper, packaging products, and janitorial and sanitary maintenance products.
