Hilton Opens Tenth Hotel in Santa Clara County

SANTA CLARA-It has been 15 years since Santa Clara has seen a new, full-service hotel, until now. Hilton Hotels Corp. this week opened the 280-room Hilton Santa Clara, complete with high-tech videoconferencing and 5,200 sf of flexible meeting space.

The property, at 4949 Great American Parkway, is owned by a joint venture between affiliates of Oaktree Capital Management, LLC and Franklin Croft Inc. The Hilton Santa Clara is under the management of Hostmark Group and operated under a license agreement with Hilton Inns Inc., a subsidiary of Beverly Hills CA-based Hilton Hotels Corporation.

The Hilton brand features approximately 227 full-service hotels and resorts, representing 84,522 rooms, in cities throughout the United States. Flagship properties include the Waldorf=Astoria® on Park Avenue in New York, Hilton Hawaiian Village® in Honolulu, and The Palmer House Hilton in Chicago.

“The new Hilton Santa Clara is the perfect addition to our company’s current portfolio of nine hotels with more than 2,200 guest rooms in Santa Clara County,” says Dieter Huckestein, president of the hotel division of Hilton Hotels Corporation.

Earlier this year, Atlast Hospitality has released a report saying San Jose was expecting some 19 hotels, with 5,070 hotel rooms in the planning stage for the entirety of Santa Clara County.
