Chamber Chooses Lowell as Next Chairman

MIAMI-The Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce has chosen Jack Lowell as chairman-elect for 2001-2002 term. A volunteer chamber member for more than 20 years, Lowell works as vice chairman of Miami-based Codina Realty Services ONCOR International. He has served on the chamber’s executive committee and board of governors since 1992.

The chamber also elected Peter Roulhac, First Union National Bank director of community development, as first vice chairman. He will serve as chairman-elect during the ’02-03 term.

A 1965 graduate of Harvard University, Lowell began his real estate career in 1974 in Miami. As a Codina vice chairman, Lowell manages the leasing operations of the Barclays Financial Center, a 30-story, 520,000-square-foot office tower in the Brickell Avenue submarket; and a new 16-story, 200,000-square-foot office tower in Coral Gables.

Besides his volunteer work with the chamber, Lowell also serves as a member of the Beacon Council board of directors, a local public-private economic development partnership. He serves as chairman of the Salvation Army advisory board and is a recent past chairman of the St. Stephens Episcopal Day School board of directors.
