EDEN PRAIRIE, MN-Consumer electronics retailer Best Buy Co. says it will open a 700,000-sf distribution center in Dublin, GA on Thursday. The new $40-million facility will supply consumer electronics and home office products to 65 Best Buy stores inGeorgia, Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina, Alabama and Tennessee.

The distribution center will bring approximately 250 jobs to Dublin. Best Buy operates six additional major distribution facilities in Dinuba, CA; Ardmore, OK; Edina and Bloomington, MN; Staunton, VA; and Findlay, OH. The center took nine months to build, says Roman Roman, Jr. general manager of Dublin Distribution Center No. 17.
