WASHINGTON, DC-CarrAmerica Urban Development LLC broke ground this week on a 10-story Class A office building at 1750 H St., NW. The 111,510-sf building is already 35% leased and is scheduled to be ready to occupy by the end of 2002, according to company officials.

The building, located in the central business district, is within walking distance to two Metro stations. Once completed, the office building will include a fitness center, 24-hour security, 12,000-sf floorplates and windows on 80% of its perimeter.

CarrAmerica Urban Development, a subsidiary of CarrAmerica Realty Corporation, is acting on behalf of a third party as development manager for the project, overseeing planning, design, zoning approvals and construction. CarrAmerica Realty Corp. will handle leasing and property management.
