DETROIT-The city planning and development department has put out a request for proposals for the Lower Woodward Development, referred to as Parcel 129. The area consists of city-owned properties in two blocks in an area generally bounded by Woodward Avenue to the east, Park Avenue to the west, Sibley Avenue to the south and Temple Avenue to the north.

A qualified development team is sought to create a proposal that will support a mix of complementary uses including office, hotel, residential, retail, restaurant and institutional.

The proposals are due at 2 p.m. July 16. A pre-submission conference will be held at 9:30 a.m. Friday in the department offices.
