AUSTIN-Littlefield Corp. has closed on the purchase of the Lumbermen’s Association of Texas building.

The 9,000-sf building at 2501 N. Lamar became Littlefield’s corporate headquarters this week. Littlefield owns and runs bingo halls in several states and has other entertainment-related operations.

“Owning, rather than renting, our corporate headquarters will give Littlefield Corp. firm control over future occupancy expenses and will provide the space the company needs to smoothly manage its growth,” Littlefield CEO Jeffrey Minch says in a statement.

Littlefield has vacated 2,800 sf at 816 Congress that it had leased from Minch. The new occupant of the Congress space is the Lumbermen’s Association, an organization of owners and operators of lumber and building material companies.

The Lumbermen’s building is north of the Austin CBD and west of the University of Texas campus. It is one of several office structures that front winding Lamar Boulevard and overlook the Shoal Creek greenbelt.
