CHICAGO-The city council is considering selling a former fire station at 3000-02 N. Elbridge Ave. to Skokie, IL-based Arbor Acquisitions, which plans to convert it into a restaurant. The $190,000 sale of the site at the intersection of Milwaukee and Wellington avenues in the Avondale neighborhood is subject to Arbor Acquisitions and department of planning and development officials signing a redevelopment agreement.

The site is located within the Fullerton/Milwaukee Tax Increment Financing Redevelopment Project Area. The restaurant plan was recommended by the Community Development Commission, which oversees the sale of public parcels for redevelopment.
