ATLANTA-It’s musical chairs time again in this area’s office leasing community. John O’Keefe, a north Fultton County office leasing big hitter, has left Opus South and joined the Atlanta division of Raleigh, NC-based Highwoods Properties Inc. He is director of leasing and marketing.

O’Keefe replaces Chet Koenig who left Highwoods last year for M.D. Hodges Enterprises where is vice president of leasing. Opus South hasn’t announced a replacement for O’Keefe.

O’Keefe will oversee Highwoods’ 7.2 million-sf Atlanta portfolio which includes Century Center in suburban DeKalb County. He will also be scouting for build-to-suit sites and new development niches.
