GENOA TOWNSHIP, MI-Uni-Boring is constructing a new 50,000-sf research and development prototype manufacturing facility here. The company makes engines and engine parts for the automotive industry.

Uni-Boring is receiving a $750,350 infrastructure grant from the Michigan Economic Development Corp. to install water and sewer services at the new facility, which is expected to employ 75 workers. The MEDC is a public-private partnership that promotes smart growth strategies.

The township is located in the southeast quadrant of Livingston County, and has seen new residential and commercial growth recently.
