R&D Facility Fetches $2.5 Mil

ANAHEIM, CA-An Anaheim research and development facility has been swallowed up by Specialty Restaurants Corp., in a deal valued at $2.5 million.

The building encompasses 22,102 sf. It is located at 8191 E. Kaiser Blvd.

Specialty Restaurants Corp. was represented by CB Richard Ellis. The seller, The Clifford Companies, was represented by Louis Tomaselli and Mitch Zehner of Voit Commercial Brokerage.

A rash of smaller and mid-sized industrial transactions has occurred in recent weeks, as the decline in the county’s manufacturing activity has begun to ease up. According to a recent report by Chapman University, the decline in manufacturing activity has lessened from the first quarter to the second quarter.

Chapman’s composite index, which is used to measure the manufacturing sector, has increased to 45.8 in the second quarter from 43.7 in the first quarter. The index measures the manufacturing sector in terms of production, new orders, employment, inventories of purchased materials and supplier deliveries.
