CARROLLTON, TX-A 30-year-old Carrollton lighting business will relocate its corporate headquarters and supply operation Sept. 1 to 42,320 sf in the Valwood Industrial Park.

Grubb & Ellis Co.’s Dallas senior vice president Gary Lindsey tells GlobeSt.com that Teiber Lighting Products is taking sublease space now being vacated by Keystone Automotive Operations Midwest Inc. The space opened up with Keystone’s strategy to partner this region’s distribution operation with that in another state. Keystone, Lindsey emphasizes, is not exiting the market, but merely eliminating the Dallas-Ft. Worth warehouse. Keystone officially closed doors Aug. 1 on the center, positioned at 2055 Luna Rd. in an estimated 500,000-sf, 20-year-old industrial property.

The Valwood warehouse is one of 14 satellite operations in 13 states and Toronto for the specialty auto parts supplier. Based in Exeter, PA, Keystone’s primary distribution centers are a 650,000-sf structure in northeastern Pennsylvania and 160,000-sf hub in Kansas City.

Teiber is pulling up stakes from 1103 Trend Drive in Carrollton. The popular lighting company has signed for the seven-year balance of Keystone’s 10-year lease.

Lindsey and Grubb & Ellis’ industrial vice president Robert Fulford represented Keystone in the transaction. Independent broker Sam B. Gottlieb of the Sam B. Gottlieb Co. acted on Teiber’s behalf.
