FAIRFIELD, NJ-Rushton Industries, an office, industrial and residential firm based here, has begun construction for Building 7 at its Fairfield Commons office condominium complex. The new building, totaling 16,000 sf, is expected to be ready for occupancy in October at what the company describes as New Jersey’s largest office condo complex.

With the completion of Building 7, the company expects to immediately begin construction of Building 8, according to Lori Rushton, director of sales and marketing. Altogether, the complex will total 137,000 sf of space with nearly 150 office suites.

Fairfield Commons has 86 suites currently occupied. Space availabilities range from 900 sf to 35,000 sf, built to the buyer’s specifications. Rushton Industries itself is based at Fairfield Commons.
