LONDON-Consignia has tied up a deal for an £8m call centre at Festival Park, Stoke-on-Trent. Developer Stoke-on-Trent Regeneration is to start work immediately on the 42,000 sf building which will be occupied by Consignia Customer Management which will handle customer enquiries for Parcel Force, Royal Mint and the Post Office. The centre is due to open next Spring.

Consignia is joining four other major occupiers- Royal Doulton, Vodafone, Sentinel Newspaper Group and facilities management group, George S Hall, on the Etruria Valley site. Etruria Valley is the largest part of the Festival Park development which will later be extended through Festival Waters and into Middleport.

Stoke-on-Trent Regeneration is a joint company with St Modwen Developments owning 81% and Stoke-on-Trent City Council the remaining 19%. It is redeveloping Etruria Valley with Corus, the steel giant, which closed its factory on the site last year.

Simon Quantril of Knight Frank, which advised Consignia, said, ‘Festival Park is now an established office park and Consignia’s arrival is expected to create at least 400 jobs.’ Insignia Richard Ellis acted for Stoke-on-Trent Regeneration.
