DENVER-Fort Worth, TX-based Crescent Real Estate Equities Cos. leased more than270,000 sf in the Denver and Colorado Springs area during the past two months. Bruce Basham, Crescent’s leasing manager, represented the real estate investment trust in each transaction.

The largest deal was with MCI Worldcom, which signed a 124,988-sf, seven-year deal in the MCI Tower, where it was subleasing space. It is the second-largest office lease here this year.

The lease is valued at more than $21 million. Paul Keilt of Equis Corp. represented the telecom giant.

In the next largest deal, Fairlane Credit, a division of Ford Motor Co., committed to a 71,890-sf deal at Briargate in Colorado Springs, one of the largest deals in that city, John Marold of CB Richard Ellis represented Fairlane Credit.

That was followed by the CPA firm of KPMG PeatMarwick, which signed a 10-year, 61,080-sf deal at MCI Tower. The broker was Rob Link of CB Richard Ellis.

In the final deal, New York Life leased 15,744-sf in the Citadel building in a long-term renewal in Cherry Creek. Todd Wheeler of Cushman & Wakefield represented the life insurance company.
