SANDY, OR-It appears developer Elie Kassab and the Sandy City Council have come to terms for a new eight-screen movie theater near U.S. 26 at Industrial Way and Southeast 362nd Avenue. In exchange for Kassab not abandoning on the project, the council voted last week to spread out over 10 years some $30,000 in traffic impact and development fees associated with the $2.5-million development.

Kassab, who was hoping to see the fees waived, nonetheless paid the fees in full last week. The project, being developed under Kassab’s Vancouver, WA-based Prestige Development Co., is tentatively set to open for business next summer.
