In exchange for Kassab not abandoning on the project, the council voted last week to spread out over 10 years some $30,000 in traffic impact and development fees associated with the $2.5-million development.

Kassab, who was hoping to see the fees waived, nonetheless paid the fees in full last week. The project, being developed under Kassab’s Vancouver, WA-based Prestige Development Co., is tentatively set to open for business next summer.
